New Mexico Hearing Aid & Tinnitus Center is a local, family practice owned and operated by Michael MacDonald, Hearing Instrument Specialist. We provide hearing aids and hearing services to the people of Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and the surrounding areas. Whether you are struggling with hearing loss or random ringing in the ears (tinnitus), we have a solution for you.
Our Mission
Knowing that even a minor hearing loss affects a person’s social activity, cognitive functions, and their brain’s ability to understand the sounds of speech. We are called, to ensure, a patient that tests with even a small hearing loss receives the preventive medical benefits of being fitted with hearing aids that are within their budget and will fulfill the prescriptive needs of their hearing loss.

What to Expect at
Your First Appointment
To begin your appointment, we will have a conversation with you to find out where you have been having hearing difficulties. We encourage you to bring a spouse or family member with you so we can get your full hearing picture.
After our conversation then we will use a video otoscope to perform an ear exam by looking inside your ears at your ear canal and eardrum.
Then we will perform a series of hearing tests to measure your hearing thresholds at different frequencies and volumes. We will also assess how well you can hear speech in noise and quiet.
We will go over the results of your audiogram and answer any questions you may have.
If you could benefit from hearing aids, we can demonstrate a pair of devices in office.
We offer 45-day trials of hearing aids in your home, risk-free. This way you can try the hearing aids in your own environments.

New Mexico Hearing Aid & Tinnitus Center is a preferred hearing care provider for the NFL Players Association’s Professional Athletes Foundation. Through this partnership, the PAF aims to bring better hearing to former professional athletes and their fans across the nation. Together, we spread awareness, help players in need of hearing care, and collect data on the connection between hearing loss and professional football.
