Hearing Evaluations
To determine if a hearing loss is present and what type of technology is appropriate for you, we will need to perform a hearing exam. We provide comprehensive hearing tests in Albuquerque for adults of all ages. We will perform a series of tests to assess how well you can hear certain sounds at various frequencies as well as your word recognition.
Hearing Aid Demonstration
Not every hearing loss is the same. We will go over different types of hearing aids we believe will help you and show them to you during your appointment. Our goal is to help you find the proper amplification for your unique needs.
Once you’ve determined which hearing aids will be best for you, we will bill your insurance (when applicable). If your insurance does not have hearing aid benefits, we work with a finance company to give you an affordable monthly payment option.
Hearing Aid Fitting
We will expertly fit your hearing aids to your unique ear shape and specific hearing prescription based off the results of your audiogram. Using real-ear measurement, we will ensure your hearing aids are providing you with the right level of amplification.
Follow-Up Visits
To ensure you are comfortable with the physical fit and use of your hearing aids, we will schedule you to come in for a follow-up visit after your initial fitting. After this, we encourage our patients to come in every six months to have their hearing aids professionally cleaned and checked.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Whether due to wear and tear or because of an accident, your hearing aids may require repairs. We can make some repairs in-office to get your hearing aids working again. If your hearing aids have suffered more severe damage, we can send them into the manufacturer for you for more comprehensive repairs.
Custom Earmolds
Whether you need custom fit earmolds for hearing aids or you want to protect your ears from loud noise exposure, we can help. At our hearing clinic, we can create custom fit earmolds, earplugs, and swim plugs to keep your hearing safe.
